Experts say that Ukraine has all the opportunities to become a non-volatile country. An integral part of this process is the development of the uranium mining industry. “In addition to uranium, in Ukraine there is no longer any natural energy carrier that can ensure the country’s energy future. Neither coal, nor oil, nor gas. Reserves are limited, production is expensive. For uranium, the situation is different. Our task is to fulfill, together with other manufacturers, the raw material needs of Ukraine’s nuclear power industry with our own uranium. What the NESU is doing is the start of a large energy independence project in Ukraine, at the end of which we hope to get the amount of uranium needed to meet the country’s needs ”- this is the main message of Vasily Vasilyevich SINCHUKA, Director for Production of Nuclear Energy Systems of Ukraine.
